GROUP TUITION
Working with a group of pupils to build on their shared ideas and knowledge whilst also differentiating ability levels requires teaching experience and skills. With encouragement and support, in a small group pupils will grow in confidence, be happy to try out new methods and will become stronger mathematical thinkers who are not afraid to have a go!

If you are looking for all the benefits of one to one tuition and have a group of friends who are working at a similar level, small group teaching may just be the ideal solution for you.

The dynamics of a small group can be motivating, challenging and rewarding. Materials can be varied and along with access to tutor time you benefit from the support of the other members of your group. This style of tutoring provides the opportunity to learn through taking part in more varied mathematical games and activities, working collaboratively and learning from each other. Asking pupils to explain methods to each other and critique each other’s teaching can truly cement an understanding of a topic. Not only is small group teaching fun, it shares the cost of tuition.

So why not get together a group of friends of a similar mathematical ability and try it out?
