COVID19 GUIDELINES

While tutoring face to face during the Covid19 pandemic I will be following and complying with the changing government regulations and requirements for tutoring in England.

In particular I will discuss and assess the areas of risk with parents and students before starting tuition to ensure that guidelines and best practice safety procedures are in place. These areas will cover the following issues –

​

• Households with extremely vulnerable students or members of the household – students will currently only be tutored remotely at this point in time.

• Households with vulnerable students or members of the household – disclosure of any such person will ensure we put in any required additional safeguarding precautions should face to face tuition be required. 

• Notification of symptoms – if I or anyone in the student’s household displays Covid19 symptoms, such as a raised temperature, a new persistent cough, or a loss or change to their sense of smell or taste, the other party must be notified immediately and tuition will be postponed until test results are obtained and any required quarantine period has passed.

• Maintaining a contact log – for ‘track and trace’ a contact log will be kept which I will require your consent to disclose in the event it is requested

Managing the environment

• Safe distancing and facemasks – safe distancing will be maintained at all times by myself and students.  Face masks can be worn by myself and the student if students and their parents prefer. 

• Personal hygiene – hand sanitiser will be used by both student and tutor before sessions. 

• Respiratory hygiene - the ‘catch it, bin it, kill it’ approach will be applied.

• Use of resources – any equipment will be sanitised and I will endeavour to minimise the use of paper resources, emailing these in advance to be printed off where possible.

• Cleaning Tables and surfaces – any being worked on to be sanitised before sessions.
